Donations Policy
Acknowledgment of your donation
Following your donation an acknowledgement and receipt will be sent to the email address provided. This will be sent out as soon as possible after the donation, but may take up to five business days.
Acceptance of donations
The Game Animal Council is a state services body that must be seen to be impartial. An important consideration in the acceptance of donations or gifts is that the Council ensures it does not place itself under any actual or perceived obligation that might hinder it performing its statutory functions in a balanced and unbiased way.
Donations or gifts are considered as revenue of the Council and do not create a financial liability owed to the donors. The Council does not agree to any implicit conditions and has no obligations to reward donors in any way and no obligation to publicly acknowledge such donations.
If the intent of the donor is that the donation is applied towards a specified project and nothing else, then any remainder after the end of the project will be repaid to the donor. If no conditions are stated at the time of the donation, then any unspent funds will be transferred to the general revenue of the Council.
No personal information will be shared about the donor with any third party other than Game Animal Council staff involved in the receipt and distribution of donations.
Rejecting a donation
Decisions to reject a donation are at the discretion of the Game Animal Council and its staff.
Reasons for rejecting a donation include, but are not limited to:
• Obvious conflict of interest.
• Where the donation results from illegal activity (perceived or known).
• Donations offered to the Game Animal Council from overseas entities
Refund policy
Refunds of donations will be at the discretion of the Game Animal Council and its staff.
