Hunters, avid in their passion of the outdoors, pass on their knowledge to peers and young people to continue our outdoor heritage. Lack of training leads to accidents. The GAC is constantly looking to create opportunities for hunters to become better educated.
What better way to learn about the outdoors and nature than by attending educational programs and workshops that not only focus on conservation education but demonstrate how to use the outdoors and nature as a classroom?
The GAC has endorsed a number of training programmes, including the NZDA Hunt programme, the NZ Bowhunter Education Course, the NZ Professional Hunting Guides Association Academy Course and the NZ Pig Hunting Association’s Code of Conduct.
The GAC is aiming to help develop further resources to support our objective of improving hunter education and safety.
