What your donation can help achieve

Your donation may help expand and/or do more for initiatives such as:

  • Education: Bring hunter education to schools, shaping future hunters to be safe and responsible, and help fund resources to support hunter meat donations to people in need.
  • Research: Contribute to establishing an academic backbone for improving hunting and game animal management in New Zealand.
  • Management: Support the New Zealand hunting sector by donating to sustainable game animal management that secures the future of hunting in New Zealand.

How far could your donation go?

Every dollar counts…

  • $25 into education could fund one completion pack with hunting safety items, provided to school students who completed the Better Hunting Essentials’ programme.
  • $100 into education could provide safety pamphlets distributed to the Firearms Safety Authority course participants, increasing hunter education and safety in use of firearms.
  • $500 into education could provide hunting and game animal management resources for teachers, and completion packs for an entire classroom.

High-value donations

High-value donations can support things like research to build New Zealand’s knowledge and capacity to deliver positive, science-backed outcomes for hunting and game animal management or funding a grass-roots community group to run a management hunt, the meat recovered being processed to supply foodbanks.
