This page has information about the Game Animal Council’s planning and reporting documentation. Under legislation, we are required to create a Statement of Performance Expectations (annual plan) and report on our activities each year (annual report).

The GAC’s operational strategy/strategic plan along with other key documentation informs the development of the SPE, workplan and budget. Together, these documents provide priorities and actions for the forthcoming year, setting out how we aim to achieve our vision through our strategic objectives and how we aim to achieve these.

Planning: Statements of Performance Expectations

Our Statement of Performance Expectations (SPE) incorporates the priorities of the Government, the Minister and the Council. It reflects our operations priorities, performance targets and forecast financial information.

Reporting: annual reports

Our annual report provides a high-level overview of the achievements of the GAC on an annual basis. Our SPE provides the targets that we report on.

Briefing to the Incoming Minister

These briefings contain information about the GAC’s priorities and form a basis of our work with the Minister as part of our primary statutory function to advise and make recommendations to the Minister for Hunting and Fishing.
